[ Hull Inspections ] |
We provide In-Water Survey and Inspections, in lieu of dry dock, inspections for sale, collision damage, fouling conditions, pre-dry dock conditions and paint conditions with certified and experienced divers.
With CCTV(Underwater closed circuit television), we can provide real-time inspection situation to clients and class surveyors, allowing them to instruct divers directly if necessary. A copy of the video tape together with a writing report is available after the inspection.
The following types of inspections are also available
|
Inspection with CCTV and still photos |
Inspection with still photos only |
Visual inspection only |
We are approved by all major classification societies as follows;
ABS , BV , CCS , DNV , GL , KR , LR , NK

[ Hull Cleaning ] |
SEA DOG UNDERWATER HULL CLEANING SYSTEM was developed for the purpose of clearing all sorts of fouling. Both large-sized mad handled types of cleaners are driven by the same motor. This combination has made it possible to clean away fouling from middle-or small-sized ships and ocean structures, which are recently increasing in number, not to mention supervised ships. |
SAFETY is the most important consideration with this kind of machine. SEA DOG'S main brush is hydraulically driven by a diesel engine. Only a few parts such as the lever switch underwater lighting system work by electricity. Easy operation also brings safety. SEA DOG is designed only by a single lever, and the propulsive force of the impeller in the duct will make it possible for divers to move underwater almost effortlessly, from the mother ship to the location of cleaning, for example. |
The best results come from the best PERFORMANCE. To obtain the best results satisfying the client, special brushes were developed. A variety of brushing effects are achieved by a different combination of them. Moreover, they may be easily attached or detached in the water, so that they can be used properly according to the actual condition of the fouling. As the brush pressure is adjustable simply by pushing up and down the brush disk, there is no worry about causing any damage to the paint on the hull. |
COLLECTOR During the cleaning, fouling are collected by attaching the collector. |

It is not too much to say that marine life feeds on fuel. Under normal conditions, eight months after leaving dock, a ship admittedly needs 20 per cent more fuel to sail at the same speed because of marine organisms collecting on its hull. If no countermeasure is taken against them, fuel cost will increase about 50 per cent at the maximum. The loss of days in service by such deceleration will result in an enormous loss of profit. |

Annual Potential Fuel Savings with PropellerPolishing for various vessel types |
Fuel consumption's figures are based on the estimated speed of each vessel. Fuelprice is calculated at US$110 per ton Rotterdamspot price(1996). Rupert Grades C,D,E andF represent progressively rougher and morefouled propellers. The % Fuel saving figuresfor each Rupert Grade are our estimates basedon the calculations from real-life fieldstudies and scientific publications. Fuelsavings are achievable with our Super DiamondPropeller Polishing to Rupert A. Annual potentialfuel savings are calculated from estimatedfuel consumption and % fuel saving figuresfor each vessel. Fuel savings in this tableare estimates of results possible under optimalconditions and are not guarantees of anyspecific fuel savings.
